How We Work

Step 1 Icon

Administration

  • The first step typically involves an on-site meeting with the client and construction team.
  • The meeting provides us with the brief and ultimately the scope of works for the project.
  • We provide a lump sum fee proposal to the client that reflects this scope and brief.
  • The council property file, survey, CCTV or other reports are required before we start.


Step 2 Icon

Concept

  • We complete a full site measure to assess the property condition and constraints.
  • We produce a set of concept plans reflecting the brief, expressed on a floor plan.
  • On approval of this we develop the design, providing additional project information.
  • We recommend high level pricing at this point, so we can adjust the concept if needed.


Step 3 Icon

External consultants

  • We engage with the project consultants or can recommend others if needed.
  • We co-ordinate and review the consultants' documentation for the project.
  • If a resource consent is found to be needed, we work with the nominated planner.
  • We provide them the necessary resource consent documentation as required.


Step 4 Icon

Detailed drawings

  • Detailed drawings are developed for compliance and to product specific standards.
  • We share the working drawings with the builder and value feedback on the buildability.
  • The consults details and documentation are integrated into the drawing set.
  • We move to complete the product documentation and specific details required.


Step 4 Icon

Local authority

  • Our license building practitioner reviews the project documentation for sign off.
  • We complete the Local authority, Building Consent Application on your behalf.
  • During the application we deal with any queries raised by the council processors.
  • The issued building consent is then handed to yourself and construction team.
